Following the banquet the Actives serenaded the assembled Brothers and their ladies. Then they sang "My Girl" to Mary. Howe was presented with a plaque thanking him for his service as House Corp President. Bro. Rob Roberson Elected President of Acacia: On October 14, 2009, by a special vote of the International Council of Acacia Fraternity, Bro. Robert E. Roberson, Illinois Wesleyan '74, was elected the twenty-fourth President of the Acacia Fraternity. Brother Roberson has served as Treasurer since 2001, and will fulfill the remainder of Pres. Day Care Painting: In keeping with the Acacia motto of "Human Service", Actives, Alumni and Pledges assembled at the Syracuse Salvation Army Day Care Center on South Street to paint the facility in October. Bro. Wesley Lai awarded Venerable Dean Ken Smith with the "Order of the White Hand" during day care painting event. 3rd Quarter House Corp Executive Board Meeting September 19th, was held in the newly created Games Room. Mr. Eddie Banks-Crosson, Director of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs spoke to the Board and Brothers in attendance. Bro. Simon Philipose was elected Chapter Advisor and appointed Bro. Quoc Tuan Nguyen as Financial Advisor. The Cornerstones Committee recommended that the Syracuse Chapter should have a Cornerstones member development program. The recommendation was adopted. Room rent for 2010-2011 was set a $6,200 per year and it was established that the capacity of the House was 9. From Top Left: Bro.Charles Cutshall, Mr. Larry Thomas, Bros. Rohan Akhouri the ten alumni shown above and Mr. Larry Thomas, former Chapter Academic Advisor, gathered in Alexandria, VA to celebrate Bro. Charles R. Cutshall, III's birthday and to strengthen the ties of friendship. Bro. Cutshall is House Corp. Secretary, former Chapter Advisor, and also Washington, D.C. Area Alumni Coordinator. He plans to organize future, D.C. area, alumni gatherings, some of which will include human service activities. We now have two area coordinators and a growing number of alumni peer coordinators working "to strengthen the ties of friendship, one with another". The next day Bro. Flagg visited with Bro. Ray and Norma Bourdeau on Dan's Mountain in western Maryland. They had not seen each other since New Year's Day 1966
