In the fall semester of 2004, Syracuse Acacia underwent a campaign(Adopt A Soldier) to support troops deployed to Iraq by purchasing/collecting items that went to a Captain and his soldiers, for their use or benefit.

Remembering out motto of "Human Service" and knowing that Bro. Dimoh currently has a twin brother deployed in Iraq, the Acacians of Syracuse set out to improve the lives of those fighting for our country. Our community service chair Bro. Philipose made arrangements with a local Sam's Club to collect items in front of the store. Bro.Tuan, Shubi, Manny, Tom and Ken stood outside for three hours and sucessfully collected enough items for the entire platoon. A big thanks to you guys, I'm sure "A" Company will be very thankful for what you've done near the holiday season.
